The Infrared Sauna Foundation started it's journey driven by Terry Roble's dissatisfaction with all the lies and manipulation in the infrared sauna industry.  The first sauna Terry purchased was a cheap $1,800 sauna that ended up starting fire, and the company blamed Terry and his electrician.  From there, Terry dived into the infrared sauna industry and found it was extremely corrupt.  Terry took on this project as a retirement side project.

ISF started as a non-profit driven by donations with no affiliation to any sauna seller, affiliate or manufacturer.  As the emails poured in and thousands of requests were made for Terry's help, Terry couldn't help everyone and still enjoy retirement.  In 2020, Terry searched for someone to help ISF with the rising demand for information and assistance in purchasing an infrared sauna.  With very little cash flow, Terry was able to bring on a long time industry professional that has dealer contracts with the TOP 5 sauna manufacturers on Terry's safe list.  This was a God send and win win for everyone.  Dealer's for sauna brands are able to give discounts, still make a commission and give ISF a small donation to keep the website active and functioning.
